“Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens
While I know this is a movie on the verge of release, the book alone is absolutely amazing. Delia Owens Is an amazing writer and brought so much personality to each character. It’s is based on a girl completely abandoned by her family at the age of 7, left to raise herself. The book take place in the marsh lands of the Carolinas in 1940-2009. It has love, disappointment, heartache, moments of suspense and a side dose of homicide.  This was a fantastic read and I recommend it anyone that will listen.

Book Recommendations

I feel like every writer has their go to genre's and authors that they always recommend to the people they know, and I am no exception. I am a die-hard Urban Fantasy girl so when I'm looking for a book that's the first place I check.

However, being part of a book club has also helped me expand to other genres so every so often I will pick up something based solely on its cover or because a friend or family member recommended it.

So, I wanted to create a place where you can find recommendations for books based on what I'm reading, have read or has been recommended to me that is now in my TBR (to be read) pile.

Enjoy!

Meghan Ciana Doidge is one of my all time favorite authors and the place I found Urban Fantasy. This series has a total of 9 books that will have you hooked from the very beginning. This series is complete so if you don't like to wait then you're in luck!

This is only one part of a very large universe with a great cast of characters who have their own tales to tell and Meghan always has an upcoming book with releases several times a year.

The next series I recommend is the Hallows Series by Kim Harrison. If you like demons, fairies, vampires and pixies then this is a great series for you. It's also Urban Fantasy but the magical world isn't hidden.

This series is a lengthy one but it's not finished and currently 15 books long.

Last I would recommend this series by Jenny Proctor which is a romance series.

This has three books so far and I'm not sure if she plans on more but if you're looking for a light fun read with a HEA (happily ever after) this is a great one.
